I’m JGlass asked: My friend/associate are having a mild argument on what is the top selling product being sold through hiphop media. I say ringtones/ cellphones and she says clothing /accesories. Can anyone tell me what you think or are we both wrong?

I would think clothing, since most successful hip hop artists start their own brand. Not everyone has a cell phone, or if they do, they don’t necessarily buy ringtones. Everyone wears clothing. I listen to rap and hip hop, and I wear clothing geared towards people who listen to said music. I’ve spent thousands of dollars a year on clothing, but I only buy a new cell phone once a year, and I usually use Wavepad to make my own ringtones.
Sorry, but I think that it’s more of the clothes and accesories. If you see someone wearing those tight shoes, cool shirt, and name brand sweater, then you’re also gonna get it. The reason that I say no to cell phone ring tones is because whenever I see them on t.v., they seem so cheap and they look like good deals. But once you see that fine print in the bottom and have no time to read it, you get intimidated about the surplus charges and just forget about it.
Even items such as that energy drink, Vitamin Water is powered/advertised by 50 cent. Pro Active by Usher. Etc.
